NUN Tailor

From your order to your hands

Tailoring to measure

Eight steps stand between cloth on a shelf and a piece that fits you. Pick any step to see what happens there, and what your part is.

The path

One thread, eight knots.

  1. Step 1

    Taking the order

We start by talking: what you want, what it's for, how many pieces. Then we record the order in your name.

Your part: Tell us what you want, in your own language.

  2. Step 2

    Choosing the design

Collar, sleeves, pockets and the other details. Your choices are written into the order as agreed.

Your part: Pick the details. If you have a photo or a garment you like, show us.

  3. A yellow measuring tape against a shirt

    Step 3

    Measurements

We measure you and record it to 1/16 inch. A shalwar qameez is two garments, so each is measured separately.

Your part: Stand naturally, and tell us how you like things to sit.

  4. A shelf of fabric rolls in many colours at NUN Tailor

    Step 4

    Fabric

Choose from the branch's stock or bring your own cloth. The measuring and sewing stay the same.

Your part: Feel the cloth before you decide.

    Step 5

    Cutting

Your order reaches the cutting table with the recorded measurements, not a rounded figure, and the cloth is cut to them.

Your part: Follow the stage on the tracking page.

  6. A sewing machine needle and presser foot on navy cloth

    Step 6

    Sewing

The piece comes together under the needle, following the details written in your order.

Your part: Nothing. This one's on us.

  7. Stitching the edge of navy cloth on the machine beside a NUN label

    Step 7

    Finishing and quality

The piece is checked before it counts as ready: measurements, stitching and the details you asked for.

Your part: Wait for word that it's ready.

  8. Step 8

    Delivery

Collect your piece from the agreed branch, or from the van if you ordered through NUN Tailor Mobile and agreed that.

Your part: Try it on and tell us what you think.

About measuring

Sixteen parts to every inch.

The gap between a piece that fits and one that nearly fits can be a small part of an inch. That's why we record measurements to 1/16 inch.

  • Measurements go into your order, so nothing relies on memory.
  • The same figure reaches the person cutting and the person sewing.
  • We keep your measurements for your next orders.
